INTRODUCTION
The Society for Bioethics Consultation (BSC) was officially established in 1986. Its mission was to study ethics consultation and to support those who provided it in health care at that time. The BSC was the first specialty group to focus on ethics consultation.
In early 1998, the BSC merged with the American Society for Bioethics and the Society for Health and Human Values to form the American Society for Bioethics and Humanities.
THE COLLECTION
The Archives of the BSC were transferred to the Moody Medical Library in early 2001. The collection consists of four archival boxes that occupy approximately 20 inches of shelf space.
