National Undergraduate Bioethics Conference (NUBC)
Host Proposal

The NUBC shall take place every year in the spring semester.  Proposals from schools that wish to host the NUBC are due by October 15 of the preceding academic year (e.g., a school wishing to host the 2010 conference must get its proposal in by October 15, 2008).

Proposals should cover the following topics:

  •  Current bioethics offerings on campus
  •  Proposed program for the conference
  •  Budget
  •  Organizing for the Conference
  •  Letters of Support from Key Players

Taking these topics into account, and giving preference to schools that have not been hosts before, the host school for each year will be decided no later than November 15.  The decision-making committee will include members of ASBH’s NUBC Committee, and one student and one faculty member who were instrumental in organizing the previous year’s conference.

Schools will be informed of hosting opportunities in the following ways:

  •  ASBH website
  •  AJOB website
  •  Flyers at the NUBC
